Catherine Michael created CM ink, after a 20-year career helping iconic brands grow with her practical, creative but disciplined approach.

She provides frank advice, based on experience and insight, to boards, senior management, and marketing and communications leaders in both small to large, public and private companies.

CM Ink is ‘boutique’ in size but not in nous, as Catherine has held senior and director level in-house roles with the The Body Shop, Kmart Australia, Nintendo, Mincom, Triumph International, Foster’s Group, Golden Casket Lotteries and the Foster’s Group - beer and wine!

Consulting clients have included 7- Eleven, Paradise Foods, EY Qld, Technology One, ENERGEX, merlo coffee, Lady Gowrie QLD, The Country Chef Bakery Co, Gotzinger Smallgoods, Super Butcher, Telstra, AVEO, TENEO and Decor Systems.

A highlight for 2018 included helping Kingfisher Bay Resort Group prepare for the Royal Visit of Prince Harry and Megan Markle - a once in a generation opportunity for the island. I helped them with strategic media relations, crisis and issues planning and hosting media on the island in preparation for their visit.

While Catherine’s career has been varied there is a strong, common theme: enjoying the mix of business, media and the community. Catherine has a Journalism degree from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from RMIT and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a Director for the Brisbane Powerhouse.
